Content Writer/Media Specialist

Reporting to the Manager of Advertising and Media Strategy, this position is responsible for implementing the content strategy by writing, producing, and editing content to be used across the full spectrum of marketing communications and digital media channels. This individual will also be responsible for providing creative support as needed to promote brand awareness, products and services while ensuring a consistent message and position aligned with the corporate direction.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with different types of marketing such as copywriting, SEO, content marketing, PPC advertising, email campaigns, social media, website design and landing page enhancement, and comprehensive performance analytics of marketing campaigns.

Further, they will embrace the adoption of digital technology and be able to work within a fast-paced, often spontaneous environment. They will also maintain a focus on keeping abreast of marketing changes and trends.

Key responsibilities/essential functions

Oversee the development and maintenance of all First Community brands including First Community, Investment Services at First Community, First Community Realty, and First Community Insurance Agency. Ensure consistent branding across all channels including digital, print, and in-branch communication.
Work with the Marketing staff to implement key initiatives and creative concepts, advertising, and PR efforts. Works on special projects and other organizational activities assigned.
Work alongside our creative team to write clear marketing copy to promote products and services in both long and short form for newsletters, press releases, blog posts, brochures, video/radio scripts, and other advertising.
Collaborate with other departments to develop messaging, content, and programs that drive clear narratives about our brand, products, and services.

Education/Requirements:

Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft engaging copy, news releases, and written content.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media Relations, or a related field from an accredited university.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field. Experience with a financial institution is preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

Loan Servicing Representative

There is an immediate opening for a Loan Servicing Representative at our corporate office located in Chesterfield. Loan Servicing Representatives service all existing consumer loans and credit cards with the credit union. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and take pride in helping others. Job duties include:
• Assisting members and other employees with Loan Servicing questions via inbound phone calls, live chats, and online tickets.
• Responding to requests for loan payoffs, letter of guarantees, and other requests made to the department via email and fax from insurance companies, car dealerships, and others.
• Providing support to the department in other various tasks including auditing loan documents, processing lien releases and releasing titles, processing title paperwork for refinances, processing inbound mail from other institutions and DMVs, filing GAP and debt protection claims, and posting loan payoff checks.

The schedule is:

Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with rotating Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

ATM Plus Teller

As an ATM Plus Teller you will provide assistance to members from a centralized location at our Corporate East Building through video transmission via the Interactive Teller Machine (ATM+)
Duties and responsibilities include: Offering a positive, professional attitude while communicating effectively through on-screen technology. Engage members and educate them on First Community products and services. Conduct member transactions that can be complex and require sound decision-making skills and approvals.

Ensures that proper endorsements and identification are obtained and follows credit union policies and procedures.
• Monitor ATM+ to ensure they are working properly, alerting management of any operating issues.
• Must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced virtual environment.
• Good typing skills and a solid history of customer service to include handling escalated, in-depth and detailed conversations.

Mortgage Clerk

We are looking for a Mortgage Clerk at the Chesterfield Corporate Office.

The Mortgage Clerk will be the liaison between our member and the processor answering questions regarding the status of the member’s mortgage file. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to answering incoming calls, assisting members with questions regarding mortgage products and rates, verification of documents such as appraisals, flood verifications, member employment and income. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of our mortgage products and procedures.

Hours for the position are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and rotating Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., with a day off during the week when a Saturday is worked. Rotating Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. schedule when needed.
